We were approached by Celtic Football Club to handle a prestigious commission to create a new high quality public realm on the approaches to Celtic Park. Works had to be complete and open in order to host the opening ceremony of The Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

We designed a celebratory Avenue, picking up on a major axis formed between the adjacent Emirates Arena and the main approach to the football stadium. We had already established design criteria having previously prepared a Masterplan and secured Planning Permission for various works around the stadium. The design includes a hierarchy of paving, artwork, street furniture, lighting and banners to create an appropriate sense of arrival to one of the world’s most famous football clubs.
