To convert a Grade 1 Listed Elizabethan mansion house and other buildings in the extensive grounds of a former estate, to create a new residential activity centre for JCA Adventure. They wished to offer the facility to schools in the region in line with the requirements of the newly reformed English School curriculum.

We devised a phased masterplan & led a multi-disciplinary design team through all stages from inception to delivery, involving very close liaison with English Heritage. Proposals included the restoration and conversion of the main house, conversion and fitout of various ancillary buildings across the estate to provide dormitory, refectory and indoor sports facilities, and the creation of various external sporting areas within a beautiful landscape setting.
